Project Description

The role of the Market Access Manager is to define the appropriate process to maximising market access for Roche Diabetes Care products and services. Main Responsibilities include:
  • Preparing professional and effective reimbursement files
  • Acting as the main contact to the reimbursement authorities for specific reimbursement files
  • Driving reimbursement initiatives based on input from Marketing colleagues
     
    The Market Access Manager is responsible for preparing, submitting and following up reimbursement files for Roche Diagnostics Belgium. As such he/she will:
  • Together with his/her Marketing and Business development colleagues, define the best approach to achieving reimbursement
  • Collect or establish the necessary health-economic arguments to maximise the market access potential
  • Establish personal relationships with the reimbursement authorities to ensure a smooth working relationship
  • Prepare professional and effective reimbursement files
  • Follow-up specific files and where needed, take the necessary initiatives to move the files further through the process
  • Manage the market access budget
  • Continuously look for improvements to make the process  more effective and more efficient
  • Share his/her knowledge and expertise with colleagues in the organisation, including with the international Market Access community
  • Challenge the existing reimbursement process for medical devices and services  in Belgium and identify areas for improvement
  • Together with the head of Diabetes Care, define approaches for lobbying to change the process

Education & Experience

  • You have a Master's degree in Science (preferably MD or Pharmacist) with basis of Health economics, law an/or business; a Master in Marketing is an asset
  • Successful proven experience (at least 3 years) in pharmaceutical / clinical environment in the area of Market Access / Price & Reimbursement; policy and/or communication experience is ideal
  • Ability to analyse and manage high amounts of information in order to contribute to market access files and develop Market Access Operational Plans;
  • Proven ability to understand and clearly communicate scientific, legal, and health economic topics;
  • Excellent understanding of and experience in regulatory environment;
  • Ability to develop and keep trust-based relationships with regulatory and market access key influencers;
  • You have Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • You have a sense of responsibility towards achieve the company's objectives, while respecting its vision and values
  • You are a good listener, can eloquently present your ideas and know how to convince or influence others, either one-on-one or in a group
  • Trilingual: French and scientific English; Dutch is an asset
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office package, especially Excel
