|Job Description||The Manufacturing Associate IV/V performs, and often leads, daily manufacturing operations in a cGMP environment. Daily operations include, but are not limited to the operation of process equipment, following standard operating procedures, analyzing in-process samples, and documenting those activities in a compliant fashion. The Candidate will display the ability to work effectively as a member of a team, utilizing effective communication and listening skills. In addition, he/she will also display expert troubleshooting skills. The ability to effectively train less experienced Associates is also a critical component for success in this role. The MA IV/V may also on occasion fill the role as Supervisor as the need arises.|

|Qualifications||Operates in a safe manner in order to avoid injury to self and others|
•Experience in multiple unit operations both cell culture and purification operations (purification highly desired)
•Strong peer and team leadership skills.
•Adaptable to changing needs and demands, comfortable navigating in a changing environment
•Comfortable with ambiguity; quickly understands the needs based on the situation at hand
•Strong troubleshooting skills pertaining to fluid dynamics, pressures, temperatures, flow rate, etc.
•Technical abilities, theory behind column chromatography, TFF, cell growth, growth medias, general chemistry, industrial electronics and controls
•Influencing and leading a positive attitude throughout team
•Communication needs to be an absolute priority at all levels
•Actively participates in and manages their individual training plan
•Interacts with others in a professional and courteous manner in accordance with Biogen’s Core Behaviors
•Capable to work a 12-hour shift, both day shift or night shift
|Education||MA IV: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or engineering disciplines preferred, with 2-3 years of industry experience; Targeted biopharmaceutical training (biowork or equivalent) and/or related military training also preferred.|
MA V: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or engineering disciplines preferred, with a minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience; Targeted biopharmaceutical training (bioworks or equivalent) also preferred
