B. Position Objective

The Sales Training Manager supports and
facilitates learning and development activities of Diabetes BU which namely
JANUVIA®, JANUMET®, and influences the design and
execution of the BU learning plan to achieve business results. The role
supports the Training Leader and brand team in the execution of the BU learning
strategy through consulting and delivery on appropriate learning solutions.
S/he interacts with and influences BU head/RSM to understand business goals and
performance needs, develops and executes learning plans aligned to the BU
business strategy, and routinely engages with RSM to ensure learning solutions
continue to support and positively drive desired outcomes. Success in this role
depends on the candidate’s ability to collaborate with BU head/RSM, brand team,
and other Sales Training Managers, as well as work cross-functionally to act as
a BU Head Commercial Learning Business Partner (CLBP) and point of contact for
the business’ performance needs and communicate them to support design and delivery
of learning solutions.

C. Duties and

1. Effectively
establish, deepen and sustain key relationships with BU head/RSM to understand
their business needs and related performance gaps, provide oversight and
analysis when defining requirements, and demonstrate an understanding of
processes and methodology in order to provide appropriate learning solutions

2. Lead
collaborative efforts with BU head/RSM to define desired performance outcomes;
provide feedback and coaching on issues related to learning programs

3. Identify
performance needs and gaps and facilitate delivery of learning solutions to the

4. Monitor,
analyze, interpret, and report internal trends; make recommendations for
learning solutions for BU head/RSM / Brand team

5. Ensure
successful learning outcomes by directing the identification and translation of
the client’s learning needs into a defined learning strategy and implemented

6. Act as a
liaison between the CL function, Brand team and BU head/RSM to ensure alignment
with learning needs. Ensure learning solutions created meet the
requirements of the client. Identify alternate non-training solutions when

7. Deliver
training and/or support BU DSMs providing training

8. Understand
feedback provided by brand team on the overall success of the learning
solutions; Interpret and discuss feedback with BU head/RSM, and monitor impact
and cost-effectiveness of learning solutions; Suggest improvements to further
enhance learning program effectiveness and sustainability.

9. Report
timely feedback on learning effectiveness to the business and communicate
suggestions for improvement

10. Document needs for
customization or localization of learning programs

11. Last but not least, all Commercial
Learning central function training work should be taken as requirement


Education / Professional Certificate

ü Required: Bachelor’s degree in Medical, HR
or Training

ü Preferred: Master’s degree (MBA)

Working Experience

ü Required: Minimum of 10 years of
experience in healthcare industry, with 5 years of leadership
and management experience

ü Preferred: Leadership or/and training
experiences in areas of blood glucose management and diabetes treatment,
or comparable areas

Professional knowledge and skill
