Job Description

Position Summary: The medical manager provides technical medical support to sales and marketing functions in relation to marketed and clinical development products and supports the Medical Director by conducting operational office-based Medical Affairs business tasks.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Support the medical Director by conducting operational office-based medical affairs business tasks includes e.g.

o Medical Publication: Coordinate and publish medical papers
o Medical Communication: Participate and conduct scientific exchange with healthcare community
o Management and/or support of other functions: Ensure full compliance with local and global legal requirements for safety reporting for registered and investigational medicinal products
o Medical Training: Participate in and conduct medical Science Training, contributing to the Training materials
o Medical support of the Pacient Support Program: ensure full compliance with local regulations and alignment with global SOPs including close monitoring of materials, handbooks or activities.

• Support development of medical plan and execute accordingly


• Support on regulatory strategies for registration of new products or line extensions in order to speed up launches


• When multiple medical Managers in one affiliate they may be split between product, geography or tasks

Knowledge & Skills/Competencies: Essential - Medical qualified

• Post-full-registration experience in hospital practice


• Experience in

o the pharmaceutical industry/CRO, including experience in medical affairs OR
o the pharmaceutical industry of neurology therapy are OR
o clinical studies for neurology

• Proven ability to interact with external customers (key opinion leaders, both doctors and nurses)


• Ability to assimilate medical data and to present back to a commercial audience using commercial language.


• Experience in medical writing


• Proven ability to present scientific data and key messages to academic and non-academic audience

Desirable - Post graduate medical qualification

• Prior experience of commercially oriented positions


• Prior experience of clinical trials management and understanding of GCP


• Understanding of Health Economics


• Technical knowledge in the Neurology disease/therapy area


• Proven expertise in working with and within ABPI code of practice

Minimum Education Requirements: Advanced terminal degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP)
Minimum Experience Requirements: At least 3 years experience in therapeutic area.
