The successful candidate will join a team of highly trained, multi-skilled craftsman that perform tasks in a wide range of mechanical disciplines. We are a highly regulated company that has success by doing the job correctly the first time. The facility rests on 320 acres and over 25 building that contain a wide range of mechanical equipment. The primary focus of this position is to provide troubleshooting, repair and periodic maintenance of bioreactors, fermentors, capping machines, cell growth equipment and associated support equipment. Verify proper operation of facility provided air, clean steam and plant steam used in the production process from making media, growing cells, blending and final filling processes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Furnish a complete set of hand tools.
Knowledgeable of basic AC/DC electricity and electronics, including 3-phase voltage systems.
Perform basic shop math and practical shop calculations with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Provide basic measurements and measuring tools in either metric and/or US standard systems.
Implement metal work, sawing, welding, grinding, and filling.
Exhibit basic electrical and electronic knowledge.
Independently perform methods of measuring current, voltage, resistance, simple OHMS law calculations, and reading both electrical and mechanical schematics.
Proceed independently without direct supervision.
Use a computer to keep accurate and complete records, meeting cGMP documentation practices.
Perform jobs of the lower grades as required.
Demonstrate an understanding of mechanical systems to allow effective and efficient troubleshooting.
Knowledge of basic AC/DC electricity and electronics, including 3-phase electrical systems.
Follow OSHA standards and lockout tag out procedures.
May be subject to pass regulatory checks as required, such as DEA background checks.
High School Diploma/GED

Experience with Windows Operating System.
Proficient reading, comprehension and application skills toward a diverse set of complicated tasks.
Additional education at vocational technical schools or colleges.
Filling and Freeze Drying system experience.
Meet the physical requirements of the job (Walking, bending, lifting, confined space entry, etc…)
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND EXPOSURES: Occasional work around high noise levels, steam and compressed gas systems, requiring hearing protection, safety glasses, steel toe boots, and other proper PPE. Work in diverse environments such as the indoors requiring aseptic attire on production equipment in a clean room to outside in the elements working on the roof repairing or maintaining an exhauster.
