The Learning Consultant supports and facilitates learning and development activities, primarily focused on driving teaming and leadership solutions for a defined client area within Merck Research Labs (MRL) and supports the design and execution of the learning plan to achieve business results. This particular Learning Consultant role will partner closely with the HR Business Partners in the client area to work on highly prioritized teaming and leadership challenges, and is responsible for engaging in appropriate learning solutions. S/he interacts with and influences client area managers to understand business goals and performance needs, develops and executes learning plans aligned to the broader division, function, or line of business strategy, and routinely engages with key stakeholders to ensure learning solutions continue to support and positively drive desired outcomes. The solutions will also align with the MRL Leadership Learning curricula and the incumbent will partner with the Leadership Learning & Development team. Success in this role depends on the candidate’s ability to collaborate with leaders in the business, the learning partner community, and the HR business partners to support design and delivery of learning solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience with minimum 1 year of leadership experience and minimum 1 year of experience facilitating / delivering learning solutions
- Demonstrated evidence of teaming or leadership development programming with clear evidence of successful outcomes
- Experience in the areas of learning, talent, HR, or comparable areas
- Experience in applicable technical/professional areas pertinent to MRL / R&D
