Research Lead is responsible for developing strategy and to deliver product innovations in the area of image processing. Additionally has to take responsibility in building the imaging competence at IMT R&D. The role demands in understanding the application needs and trends of X-ray products in the Industrial domain, while delivering cutting edge imaging algorithms. Lead - Research Your job Research Lead is responsible for developing strategy and to deliver product innovations in the area of image processing. Additionally has to take responsibility in building the imaging competence at IMT R&D. The role demands in understanding the application needs and trends of X-ray products in the Industrial domain, while delivering cutting edge imaging algorithms. Plan, Design, Prototype image processing algorithms like segmentation, registration for 3D voxel & point cloud data Collaborate with Research Engineers at other Zeiss R&D locations to ensure the existing innovations (algorithms) are integrated well in to the products with all required optimizations. Work closely with the product teams to bring the image processing algorithms in to the SW applications. Responsible for developing Imaging applications catering to the needs of X-ray & Optical products. Responsible for product innovations in the area of X-ray & Optical Imaging applications while taking inputs from various functions like product management and application engineers. Is aware of state-of-the-art Imaging methods, tools, and trends. Presents proposals, concepts, and results to collaborators and customers. Writes papers for presentation in journals and conferences. Supervise the work of student interns. Our requirements PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Image processing is highly desired. Professional experience: Experience in applying Segmentation & Registration techniques on 3D data is a must. Experience in Graphcut based techniques applied to image processing domain is a must. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a company is a must, apart from academic experience. Industrial domain experience is desired but not required. Skills and languages : Strong in Image Processing fundamentals : image filtering, noise removal, morphological processing, histogram based operations is a must Strong Mathematical foundation in the area of 3D Computational geometry is highly desired Expertise in tools like MATLAB and basic programming languages like C is a must. Strong problem solving, communication, and team working skills.
