Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician I, GTS for our RMS site located in Wilmington, MA

A Laboratory Technician I in the GTS laboratory is responsible for the effective processing and reporting of both internal and external genotyping samples to include Taqman based PCR on 96 well and 384 well platforms.  Fundamental knowledge of Mendelian genetics and PCR is preferred.  Knowledge of molecular techniques and ability to operate typical laboratory equipment (specifically pipettes, thermocyclers and spectrophotometer) is also preferred. Strong organization and prioritization skills are required. An attention to detail and accuracy is a must. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.  Employee must have the ability to communicate effectively in a small group or one-on-one setting. Basic Microsoft skills are required (for example, Word and Excel).

Qualifications

The following are minimum requirements related to the Laboratory Technician I, GTS position.

  •  Education:  Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent in biological sciences or related discipline.
  • Experience:  0 to 2 years related technical experience in a Pharmaceutical, Biotech or Contract Research Organization laboratory environment 
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above
