We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician I, Health Monitoring for our RMS site located in Wilmington, MA.
A Laboratory Technician I employee in the Health Monitoring department is responsible for the effective processing and accurate reporting of both internal and external samples to evaluate animal health status. Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology and experience with handling animals in a research laboratory environment is preferred. Strong organization and prioritization skills are required. An attention to detail and accuracy is a must. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required. Employee must have the ability to communicate effectively in a small group or one-on-one setting. Basic Microsoft skills are required (for example, Word and Excel).Qualifications
The following are minimum requirements related to the Laboratory Technician I, Health Monitoring position.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent in biological sciences or related discipline.
- Experience: 0 to 2 years related technical experience in a Pharmaceutical, Biotech or Contract Research Organization laboratory environment
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above
- Certification/Licensure: Certification from the American Association of Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) at the minimal level of Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) is preferred.
