Assist laboratory staff by performing routine laboratory tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Performance of the following, as applicable: prepare media and laboratory solutions; prepare and titrate assay reagents and standards; perform routine sample preparation and buffer exchange; isolate and purify peptides, proteins, and other products.
•Coordinate instrument maintenance; calibrate laboratory equipment; and maintain instrument log book records.
•Order restock, and organize laboratory parts and supplies; remove laboratory waste; interact with personnel from outside the department.
•Make detailed observations and maintain clear, accurate and timely documentation of all laboratory work.
•Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to company policies and procedures. Actively participate in laboratory maintenance.
•Efficiently organize, prioritize and plan work schedule.
•Perform routine cleaning and monitoring of laboratories. Maintain and document lab cleaning records.
•Perform all other related duties as assigned.Qualifications
•Education: Two years of related college coursework required. Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in biology or related science preferred.
•Experience: One year related experience.
•An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
•Other: Knowledge of cGMPs or regulatory affairs pertaining to the pharmaceutical and biological industries is preferred.
