We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as an IT Analyst, R&D Applications. You will work with the Information Technology team in supporting our efforts in this exciting new area of cancer immunotherapy. This role will be a hands-on resource reporting to the Manager, R&D IT Applications.

The analyst will work closely with the various R&D business functions (Research, Translational Sciences, Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, Safety, Regulatory…) to deliver technology solutions to meet our critical business needs. This important role requires business analyst and project management skills as well as hands-on technical knowledge for various R&D IT applications such as LIMS, CTMS, SAS, Pharmacovigilance applications, Regulatory systems, etc.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Lead business stakeholders thru the business analysis lifecycle

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Operations Teams, Developers, Technology Partners, and Quality Assurance on scope, solutions, constraints, and risks

  • Hands-on application configuration role for R&D IT applications

  • Analyze/document detailed functional requirements and business rules (develop use cases)

  • Analyze/document current and future business process models – and be able to identify areas of potential improvement

  • Use your knowledge of solutions to make and support recommendations to business partners, consistent with IT governance policies

  • Facilitate and support system and user acceptance testing

  • Perform knowledge transfer and provide ongoing leadership, to support project go-live and beyond, operations and support activities

  • Provide Level 2 / 3 support and serve as an subject matter expert (SME) for multiple systems

  • Manage multiple technology partners and vendors

  • Participate or lead roadmap discussions and vendor assessments

  • Keep management apprised of developments through clear and timely communication

Requirements:

  • BS degree in a related field (computer science, life sciences, business)

  • 3+ years’ experience analyzing business requirements and supporting information systems projects

  • Biotech/Life Science industry experience is strongly preferred

  • Experience deploying and supporting LIMS/ELN solutions

  • Experience developing and delivering technical solutions across various business groups

  • Strong knowledge of Computer Systems Validation and GxP processes

  • Experience in documenting detailed requirements, user stories, business processes and technical specifications for both custom and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities

  • Demonstrated excellence in critical thinking and analysis, small and large group facilitation, and presentation skills

  • Ability to quickly pick up and learn multiple IT systems

  • Knowledge of the following applications is a plus: lab instruments data, Labvantage LIMS, Siebel CTMS, Argus Safety, SAS, Oracle Agile, Spotfire, Document management systems

  • Experience with SAAS and managed services

  • Demonstrated ability/experience in thinking at a high-level but have the ability to get into details

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work after hours as needed

  • Ability to travel to and work at multiple locations throughout the greater Los Angeles area
