This position is responsible for the performance of the compression equipment, the set up/change over coordination, and the daily activity priorities for the IPT operators assigned to his team. This position is a Technical SME in compression area. Need to possess the expertise within IPT areas and collaborating with other multifunctional areas to improve production on compression equipment. Apply expertise to solve unique and complex issues not only within own area of responsibility but also within interrelated disciplines at the IPT areas. Identifies problems on areas related to compression processes, equipment and develops proposals for problem solving, maintenance improvement initiatives or optimization.
The position will be based in Merck Las Piedras, does not include relocation assistance and will be assigned to First and/or Second shift. We have two (2) positions available.
Associates or higher degree in Mechanics, Electronics, Electricity or Instrumentation.
Minimum ten (10) years of experience in compression and encapsulation technology such as maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, qualifications.
Additional of five (5) years of experience in other oral solid dosages (OSD) processes.
Technical writing knowledge.
Reliability / Predictability (RCM) Maintenance Knowledge.
Intermediate computer skills.
Experience working with Maximo and SAP is required.
Ability and knowledge reading and interpreting drawing and diagrams (electrical & neumatic).
Good communications skills (reading and writing) in English and Spanish.
Fette Certification is a plus.
Knowledge in Microsoft Office.
Good interpersonal skills.
Experience or skills training people.
Strong customer service skills.
Continuous improvement tools knowledge is a plus.
