The IPT Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of all maintenance and engineering tasks performed by the IPT. This position is responsible for improvement of the equipment, processes and systems related to production area. Also, responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the IPT Equipment. This position must assure compliance with maintenance guidelines and any other applicable sections of the quality manuals. Must interact and support other departments and IPTs as requested.

This position is based in Merck Las Piedras and does not include relocation assistance. This position is for second shift.

Qualifications

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering.

- Five (5) years of experience working in the pharmaceutical environment or related industry.

- At least two (2) years of experience identifying problems on areas related to processes and/or equipment.

- At least one (1) year experience handling capital projects associated with equipment acquisition or improvements projects.

- At least two (2) years of experience supporting process improvement and troubleshooting activities.

- Good knowledge of cGMP, OSHA and EPA Regulations.

- Proficiency in English and Spanish, in oral and written.
