Job Description : 
 To manage inventory at the site location. A successful inventory and kitting technician is a reliable professional with excellent record-keeping abilities. Possessing great attention to detail and ability to follow instructions is a requirement. This role is to support inventory and Assembly Preparation activities including cleaning and kitting parts for assembly operations.  
  • Scheduling:   
    • Work with planner to schedule cleaning and kitting of parts.     
  • Inventory:   
    • Support main inventory technician and provide back up when necessary.     
  • Picking of Parts:   
    • Pick parts from a wide variety of disciplines for preparation of assembly kits:   
      • Machined Parts - Metal/Ceramic/Plastic from robust to very delicate. 
      • Fabricated Sheet metal parts. 
      • Electronic boards/components. 
      • Tubing. 
      • Wiring. 
      • Fasteners. 
      • OEM Assemblies.         
  • Cleaning of parts:   
    • Ultrasonic cleaning/rinsing/drying of parts for use in mass spectrometry equipment. 
    • Proper packaging of clean parts.     
  • Kitting of parts:   
    • Preparing Ready-to-Assemble part kits for assembly. 
    • Ensuring cleaned parts are stored in clean/sealed containers or packaging. 
    • Cutting of tubing, wiring etc to length appropriate for speedy assembly. 
    • Maintaining min/max levels of kits.     
  • Support functions:   
    • Inventory Management 
    • Operations Assembly 
    • Planning     
  • Support Quality Program:   
    • Receive inspected parts from QC 
    • Report damaged parts to QA/Planning 
    • Complete forms and follow processes for damaged parts 
    • Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages     

 Job Requirements :  
  • Proven experience as inventroy control technician or similar position. 
  • Diploma/Degree in logistics or related field preferred 
  • Sensitive parts cleaning experience preferred, ideally from a similar industry (aeronautics/security/medical device) 
  • Clean room experience a strong asset 
  • Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP - SAP (preferred) 
  • Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports. 
  • An analytical mind with strong math skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills. 
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Reliable and trustworthy.
