BioMarin’s Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain BioMarin’s cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients. Intern Project Description:
Automation Engineering summer intern will work on 1 major project and 2-3 minor projects over the 3-month internship. Projects will be matched to the candidates skills and interests. Projects may include:
1. Documentation of existing systems
2. Minor modifications to existing control systems
3. Development of internal engineering procedures
Qualifications / Requirements
Currently pursuing 4-year engineering degree
Motivated, proactive, collaborative individual who displays strong communication skills
Skills the intern will gain:
This internship experience will provide valuable perspective into automation engineering within a biopharmaceutical company. The intern will develop skills such as PLC troubleshooting, GMP documentation, and S88.
40 hours / week
