Hygiene Engineer, Supply Operations, Franklinton, NCIn this role, you will provide technical support for the production of enzymes in accordance with Novozymes requirements. Optimize the processes and equipment to improve our performance from a hygiene perspective. You will comply with regulatory/NZ standards and address gaps as well as lead and/or sponsor Hygiene projects and follow up on performance and completion. You will organize and lead local and global meetings as appropriate. You ll be given the opportunity to challenge conventions and collaborate with your colleagues, so that together you can help Novozymes change the world.In this position, you will: Support the NZNA Environmental Policy and EQS, and assure that the environmental impact of changes GMP, hygiene projects that impact: processes, equipment, and laboratory materials are assessed prior to implementationImprove and maintain department Quality System, and ensure department compliance and support of Regulatory, NZ QMS, and NZNA QuestLead the implementation of hygiene and GMP better practices that are generated in the company. This work is primarily at NZNA but may involve global work on implementing better practices, especially ones authored at NZNA.Lead the implementation of key industrial hygiene activities such as microbial mapping and development of solutionsSupport all of Franklinton Operations and Americas Operations departmentsWork cross-functionally with SCM to solve common problemsOwn the CIP tanks and system and share ownership of the equipment CIP with relevant engineerTrend production samples related to GMP/Hygiene and take appropriate actionsCommunicate status of hygiene and GMP in selected reportsServe as and be valued globally as a technical advisorEnsure that critical training needs are identified and addressed throughout Franklinton Operation in regards to training and competency developmentSupport departmental compliance with corporate, safety, quality, regulatory, and other policies and proceduresOptimize our processes from a microbial and cross contamination control point of view. Revise product manufacturing directions in collaboration with process engineers.Work with process engineers to analyze reasons for microbial contaminations and generate solutionsTrack and support the management of our products with a focus on hygiene specificationsImprove our piping and plant design to meet our processing hygiene, safety, and GMP specificationsTake an active role in new equipment process qualification on both hygiene and ZEAL related topics Work to monitor and improve clean ability of existing equipmentLead the selection of and participate in the investigation, testing and implementation of new technologies. Participation will be focused on the hygienic construction and operation of new technologies.Qualifications: Strong communication skills to achieve key goals at local and global levelMust be able to move about in the processing areas and be able to climb stairs, ladders and enter tanks. Must possess visual acuity and physical ability to support all functions of the job at all times.BS/MS in Industrial Hygiene, Chemical, Food Science, Bio-Process Engineering, or Biochemical Engineering with a biotechnology and Hygiene concentration Are you the next Zymer in our team?
