For our office in Prague we are currently looking for HR Business Partner.

Position Overview
• Provide strategic and tactical HR support to line clients in the achievement of business objectives and realization of talent management strategy
• Use knowledge of client functions to proactively address people management related issues
• Successfully integrate HR processes, structures and programs for improved HR delivery
• Provide support and unbiased perspective to clients, acting as a sounding board for complex people-related issues
• Act as custodian of HR data and compliance steward for matters related to human capital/ employee relations

Key Responsibilities

HR strategy implementation
• Support adoption of the global HR Operating Model and execution of the Czech Republic HR priorities
• Provide strategic and tactical support to line clients in achievement of people related priorities
• Provide coaching to people managers on key HR processes, e.g. Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management, Employee Development and Career planning, for client business units
• Encourage people managers and employees to leverage online resources, employee/ manager self-service, and HR shared services for routine HR requirements
• Partner with business clients and other relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance to MSD HR policies, local employment laws and employee/labor relations
• Demonstrate close collaboration with HR colleagues across the country/ region/ globe (including CoEs) to ensure alignment of local practices and programs with the collective HR strategy and goals

Talent Management
• Work with people managers on the enhancement of key capabilities that underpin the business transformation plans
• Provide consultation to business clients in the execution of talent management processes, tools and deliverables
• Provide consultation to business clients on appropriate talent attraction, retention, and reward strategies (in consultation with CoE leaders as necessary)
• Support business in achievement of the diversity and inclusion strategy
• Support pull through of global and regional Talent Development programs at local level
• Support execution of local Talent Management/ Development programs initiated by the business and which require HR partnership

Organization development
Support HR Leader in Organization restructuring and transformation initiatives, including:
• Identifying change impacts to people resulting from transformation initiatives
• Implementing change management plan including all elements required to prepare organization for the organizational transformation to take place
• Ensuring the appropriate HR systems are aligned/ updated with the changes by coordinating with HR Service Delivery team
• Collaboration with Talent Acquisition CoE to complete the sourcing, selection and staffing processes for candidates to fill roles within the organization

Employee Relations and Engagement
• Support assimilation of new employees and people managers in the organization, including facilitation of new hire orientation
• Coordinate employee communication initiatives
• Support/ facilitate employee engagement initiatives in partnership with line leadership and other key stakeholders
• Support people managers in dealing with employee performance and disciplinary issues, ensuring compliance with local laws as well as MSD guidelines
• Provide coaching and counseling to people managers and employees on HR matters

HR Operations/ Project Management
• Partner with HR Service Delivery (Client Relationship Management team) for local pull-through of global/ regional HR portfolio projects and cyclical processes
• Actively participate in the development and implementation of global and regional HR projects
• Design and implement local HR solutions, which align to global programs, but address specific local issues
• Ensure local HR policies and processes are well-documented, compliant with local labour laws as well as global MSD guidelines, and communicated effectively
• Collaborate with HR Service Delivery to ensure employee life-cycle changes are updated in HtR, payroll and any other systems in a timely and accurate manner
• Provide consultation to captive HRSD team assigned to Czech Republic to ensure accurate and efficient HR operations

Qualifications

Education & Experience
• Master’s degree (human sciences and/or business)
• 6-10 years’ experience in HR function, preferably in multi-national corporate environment
• Proven ability to develop a good understanding of business issues and identify and deliver HR interventions and solutions to meet business needs
• Track record of contributing to the management of change successfully
• Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice
• Strong understanding of Compensation & Benefits principles and market practices and able to apply to business context
• Knowledge of job evaluation process, grading structures and link with rewards
• Fluent knowledge of English
