|Job Description||As a trusted HR Business Partner, this role will plan, coordinate, and implement HR programs and processes for Biotherapeutic & Medicinal Sciences (BTMS), part of Biogen’s research group. The role will support a team of nearly 200 professionals that include (but not limited to) clinical pharmacology, pre-clinical safety and toxicology, chemistry, and biologics discovery. In this role, s/he will be responsible for the development and execution of HR strategies and activities that drive organizational growth, team effectiveness, and team engagement. The HR Business Partner will work in areas such as recruitment, employee relations, team building, performance management, compensation, and career growth and development. The person in this role must have strong cross collaboration skills and must be able to work effectively with professionals at all levels of the organization.|
This manager role will report directly into a Human Resources Director who has responsibility for the entire research and early development function. This role will support seven team leads and a broader team of 200 scientists.
Key accountabilities for this position are:
- Providing direction and coaching for people managers on a variety of employee issues including: performance management, talent acquisition, compensation planning, and employee relations
- Supporting coaching and development initiatives for team members through the identification of development opportunities and capability gaps
- Helping lead the execution of core HR processes (i.e. objective setting, mid-year conversations, year-end calibrations, succession planning etc.)
- Supporting the promotion process, investigations, and leave of absence programs
- Partnering with the HR COEs to execute workforce transitions and transactions
