Project Description

Amgen s 10  13 week internship program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patient s lives. This internship provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation. Relocation in the form of a transportation allowance will be provided for eligible candidates.The Global Scientific Communications (GSC) department at Amgen is routed deep scientific, business, and industry knowledge informed by internal and external customer interactions. The summer intern will receive daily guidance for implementing and managing day-to-day activities within GSC, including publication planning tools, global core content generation, congress tools, medical information responses, and internal training resources. The intern will obtain exposure to current publication guidelines (e.g., Good Publication Practice-3 guidelines [GPP3]) and Amgen SOPs execute deliverables in an efficient, compliant and ethical manner.Training will be provided in project planning and requisite processes to adhere to strict project timelines. Project management training will include establishing knowledge of specific roles and responsibilities  within the broader publication, global core content, material approval and compliance, and medical information teams, to ensure an understanding of the wider highly matrixed Nephrology team at Amgen.The specific project will be research evaluating the alignment of GSC resources among therapeutic areas and/or an analysis of pre- and post- product launch inquiries received from healthcare professionals specific to nephrology.Additional responsibilities will be assigned by the mentor as needed.
