Project Description

The Global Marketing Senior Manager participates in development and execution of global marketing initiatives in support of the Nephrology programs (Calcimimetics and ESAs).

The role will report to and assist the Executive Director (ED) and liaise and lead efforts with regional nephrology leads and country affiliates, and cross functional global to plan, develop, and drive launch readiness for Parsabiv. The individual will have point responsibility to engage on the development of a post-launch platform.

The role will also coordinate the implementation of an ESA best-practice sharing platform across Amgen regions and countries. Last, this individual will also support the ED in the assessment of Business Development opportunities related to Nephrology

Key responsibilities include:

Leverage deep customer, marketplace and competitor insights to develop business drivers for SHPT, Renal Anemia, and more generally Chronic Kidney Disease.

Participation in market research and provide feedback on strategic opportunities to inform and define a post-launch platform.

Partner with the Marketing Director Nephrology to design and develop the Parsabiv post-launch platform.

Oversight of third party agency partners to develop, track, and overall manage project budgets Contribute to the development of Parsabiv Global Commercial Plan (IBP Plan) and calcimimetic LRP (Long Range Plan).

Develop deep expertise in Renal Anemia and be the Global point of contact for countries and regions.

Support generation, collection and analysis of market insights to help evaluating Business Development opportunities in the Nephrology Area.

Contribute to the IBP Team (Insight and Brand Platform).

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree and 2 years of marketing or marketing and sales experience
OR
Master’s degree and 4 years of marketing or marketing and sales experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of marketing or marketing and sales experience
OR
Associate’s degree and 10 years of marketing or marketing and sales experience
OR
High school diploma/GED and 12 years of marketing or marketing and sales experience

Preferred Qualifications

6+ years of deep marketing experience including experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry

Strong commercial acumen, marketing capabilities and strategic thinking capabilities

Relevant therapeutic area experience (sales, marketing and/or payer experience)

Demonstrated ability to work with, motivate and manage agency partners

Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work and influence effectively within a highly matrixed structure

Strong analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong business judgment and emotional intelligence

Act as a role model for others in line with Amgen values

Proactive, results-oriented self-starter motivated by a challenging task
