Project Description


Responsibilities
Focus on generating and qualifying leads on a global level:
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest (incl. search work based on all publicly available information like professional networks, publications etc.) 
  • Act as an interface between Marketing and Sales and be cognizant of each marketing initiative, and work toward corporate objectives 
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls and emails 
  • Understand customer needs and requirements 
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure 
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory 
  • Collaborate with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals 


Focus on supporting the Global Renewals Business:
  • To grow the software support business through active account management within the assigned market territory, ensuring the timely renewal of Support Maintenance Contracts for a designated installed customer base and work closely with Key Account Managers in those territories 
  • To timely progress client requests and opportunities identified 
  • To support Account Managers at contract inquiries and with license overviews (database reports) 
  • Close cooperation also with customer support and accounting (continuously working on process optimizations between these stakeholders) 
  • Conduct contract negotiations with clients and partners to drive lasting agreements and commitments and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction 
  • Complaint handling 



Qualifications & Skills                                          
  • Degree in business administration, computer science, medical informatics or similar qualification 
  • Working experience in the Life Science sector and in collaborative team-based environments 
  • 3 - 5 years of a proven track record in internal software and services sales (ERP, CRM, BI, Analytic etc.), with demonstrated skills in sales pipeline process, forecasting and management 
  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets, understanding of the sales cycle and experience in dealing with global corporations as well as to understand their decision making processes 
  • Strong internet research skills and understanding of IT technology 
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools 
  • Very strong communication skills with an excellent phone presence 
  • Excellent German and English skills in written and verbal form, any additional languages beneficial 
  • Strong presentation skills and highly organized and attentive to detail 
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
