Project Description


This position is responsible for the GA & Tax processes of the legal entities in Belgium or in The Netherlands.  Responsibility for financial processes is shared between the affiliate, the Shared Service Center and the BPO of HP. Affiliates are accountable for local statutory reporting and compliance with local tax regulations. 

Key Responsibilities 

GA Process 
  • Ownership and maintenance via workflow of GL accounts, cost center, Internal Orders structure 
  • Initiate JV and attach high quality documentation; in particular coordinate and ensure quality of accruals and prepaid 
  • Perform complex and judgmental accounts reconciliations 
  • Ensure local closing activities 
  • Enforce timeliness and compliance in the intercompany billing process 
  • Cash forecast for assigned legal entities 

Local statutory reporting 
  • Ensure local statutory reporting for assigned legal entities 
  • Ensure adequate records of above activities are maintained either locally or at the SSC as per GSD design 
  • Work as key contact for external audits and internal auditors 
  • Proactively monitor and anticipate regulatory changes which can impact accounting/finance business processes and practices, including IFRS. 

  • Maintain SOD matrices and recommend mitigating controls as needed 
  • Partner with local Controller and Tax Manager to provide controllership, finance and compliance leadership to the affiliate(s) 
  • Adhere to corporate financial policies and provide training to employees when relevant 
  • Drive and ensure FRAP compliance 
  • Post stabilization, handle P2P exceptions and trainings to non-finance colleagues as need arises 

Tax & local reporting 

  • Ownership of local taxes compliance and filings for assigned legal entities. This includes local profitability & transfer pricing, preparation of tax return, payment of corporate tax installments, support HR and external consultant on tax matters for  ISEs. 
  • Proactively monitor and anticipate changes in local corporate taxation 
  • When locally mandated by law ownership for local works council 
  • When locally in place, ensure tax compliance for holding entities 
  • Ownership for local filings of reports and statistics 
  • Work as key contact for Corporate, external auditors, external tax advisors, SSC (VAT COE) in tax matters 
  • Work as key contact with Tax authority in case of tax inspections 


Ability to ensure basic business continuity in other legal entities in case of colleague "s absence (JV, closing, accounts maintenance, reconciliations) 


  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience preferably in a SAP environment  
  • Multinational corporate tax experience (transfer pricing, APA, intercompany dividends) 
  • Bachelors " Degree or equivalent in Accounting 
  • Proven problem solving skills 
  • Fluent in French and Dutch 
  • Strong command of English   
  • Good communication skills 
  • US GAAP and IFRS knowledge
