They will support the ‘Senior Financial Accountant’ in delivering the duties of the department and will be required to do the following:     Support for month end reporting and liase with internal and external auditors      Contribute to timely and accurate financial reporting both internal and external, including responsibility for submission of EHQ results into group consolidation. Support the transition of activities to shared services. Responsible for ongoing work to standardise and improve the month end processes including HFM submissions and headcount reporting. Required to manage tasks alongside the shared service team Support the month end close process for their respective Value Centre along with their systems and processes. Responsibility for headcount reporting including Budget, actuals and Forecast. Accommodate regular ad-hoc requests as and when required.     Core Tasks, Responsibilities and Authority: Compliance Embed Compliance Culture across all areas of the business ensuring Integrity in Action is actively applied in all initiatives. Ensure adherence to Astellas policies relating to Ethics and Compliance standards .   Month End/Quarter End Close Identification, processing and reconciliation of prepayments and accruals Support in preparation of auditor’s analytical review pack for quarterly audit Workings for key balance sheet accounts such as Finance Leases, Provisions, Prepayments Quarterly IFRS Footnote pack reporting Responsible for month end activities including HFM submissions and headcount reporting Assisting the team with posting journals Support the close process for EMEA HQ, overseeing reconciliation and reporting for their value centre Involvement and support in the Quarterly Audits and the annual Statutory Audit. Maintains compliance with IFRS, J-SOX, and other regulatory requirements   Intercompany Responsibilities Assist the Financial Accountant for the end to end process for Intercompany Accounting for APEL involving: Assist the Shared Services team ensuring all intercompany transactions are processed, and invoices correctly issued. Carryout review of P&L and B/S accounts to ensure all cost are correctly recharged and reconciled. Timely reconciliation and confirmation of intercompany balances with all Affiliate finance teams, ensuring month end timetable is adhered to. Preparation, reconciliation and timely issue of accurate Management recharges to IP Holders each month, including regular review of the methodology and subsequent true ups.    Fixed Assets Support month end accounting of all the Fixed & Intangible postings to SAP and the timely preparation of P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations (monthly) Support capitalisation and disposal of assets (monthly) Updating of the Asset under Construction account (monthly) Maintain the fixed asset register and post relevant transactions Fixed & Intangible asset reporting with the packs submitted to Financial Consolidation & Control, EMEA   Annual budgeting Assist with setting up Financial Accounting budget Assist with the submission of headcount and Capex   Forecasts Assist with the preparation of headcount consolidation, submission and reporting.   Other Responsibilities Approval of amendments of the Vendor master data Assist with Jsox testing reviews Providing the business with systems support on IMAP/EBP/SAP and Project Stratus. Pharma sector experience Previous expertise for end-to-end process including working with Procurement and Finance functions and third parties. Expertise in purchase order initiation, management and processing: ability to track, monitor and report. Ability to drive; ‘clean’ driving licence.
