Job SummaryProvide financial, analytical and decision support to the Oncology Business Unit (OBU) primarily for Neulasta and Neupogen (Filgrastim) in U.S. Commercial Operations  Financial Planning and Analysis.The position will support the quarterly close, forecast, annual planning and long range planning activities for the Filgrastim brands within the OBU. This role requires the ability to quickly develop an in-depth understanding of the chemotherapy marketplace, the competitive landscape, and the key revenue and cost drivers. In addition, the role requires the ability to clearly communicate financial implications of the changing pricing and reimbursement environment, build effective relationships with the business unit leaders, and analyze and clearly communicate financial results to client groups and peers. This role directly supports & interfaces with Finance leadership, as well as the Filgrastim Brand Team and OBU Leadership and requires frequent interaction with numerous additional functions including Pricing / Contracting, Business Analysis & Insights, Forecasting, Sales Operation, INBU Finance team, BCBU Finance team, Corporate FP&A, and Investor Relations.This position will be an integral member of the Filgrastim Brand Team helping to support, develop and optimize brand strategies to maximize revenue over the product lifecycle.Responsibilities include performing financial modeling, preparation and presentation of results and ideas to senior management and performing regular account analysis to anticipate and resolve issues. Provide leadership and key support on multiple projects; will work with cross-functional teams; will formulate and clearly deliver complex information, issues and recommendations in both written and oral presentations to Senior Management; will develop and use complex business and financial models to make decisions.Basic QualificationsDoctorate degree AND 2 years of Finance experienceORMaster s degree AND 4 years of Finance experienceORBachelor s degree AND 6 years of Finance experienceORAssociate s degree AND 10 years of Finance experience OR High school diploma / GED AND 12 years of Finance experiencePreferred QualificationsMaster's Degree 3+ years Biotech experience with exposure to sales and marketing function.Excellent analytical and math skills, proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.An excellent understanding of corporate finance concepts, and provocative and critical thinkingPrior experience with corporate planning software & SAPAbility to take the initiative and work under a minimum of directionAmgen is an Equal Opportunity employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
