Medical Devices Supply Chain is recruiting for a Global Finance Manager - Foreign currency role. Primary location for this role will be Diegem, Belgium.

The Global Hedging Team is responsible for consolidation, analysis and forecasting of currency for total Medical Devices on a worldwide basis. The Team is also playing a lead role in the maintenance, future roll-out and enhancements of the TM1 FX-Tool.

The Finance Manger – Foreign Currency will need to have a broad understanding of the J&J Operating Model as it is critical that this individual approaches the role with an Enterprise mind-set. A solid grasp of hedging principles, of inventory accounting and how currency impacts our financials is required.

The manager will play an important role in ensuring process improvements, standardization, development and preparation of transactional currency reporting for Medical Devices. The role will also partner with FP&A, Global Treasury Services and the Pharmaceutical and Consumer sectors to continue standardization in forecasting and reporting.

In addition and in line with ES&P strategies the role provides support to further roll-out of the TM1 FX tool cross-sectors and cross-regions, align with sectors on hedging practices, and will have strong business partnering with WW FP&A group to drive the transactional currency impact projects.

The Finance Manger – Foreign Currency's key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Partnering with Global Treasury Center, Medical Devices Finance Leaders, Operating Companies and Regional Umbrella’s on the transactional currency reporting including expert guidance, policy setting and support;
  • Ensuring coordination, timely preparation and consolidation of the organization of the Transactional currency updates for Medical Devices (JU, NU/PBP and LE/FBP);
  • Delivery and analysis of currency forecasting assessment and quantifying risks and opportunities related to currency fluctuations for the business;
  • Ensure the ongoing integrity of TM1 FX Tool system & provide support to the business in partnership with GFS-IT;
  • Key team member for the TM1-FX tool implementations, enhancements and follow-ups with team and stakeholders;
  • Leading key projects to improve standardization and transparency in how we forecast and report Transactional currency impact across MD;
  • Benchmarking best practices and share knowledge on hedging activities and strategies with Pharmaceutical and Consumer.

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in accounting or finance
  • A minimum of 8 years finance or related business experience
  • Must have strong finance, accounting and business acumen. MBA, CPA, CMA, and/or other financial certifications are preferred
  • A “can-do”, self-starter attitude prepared to introduce new ideas and thinking
  • Sound knowledge of the current JNJ global, Supply Chain and leadership organizations
  • Strong collaboration, people management, project management and change management skills
  • Ability to lead individuals without direct line reporting
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office is required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • The ability to work well independently and manage complexity as well as the ability to handle multiple task simultaneously is required
  • Candidate must possess excellent analytical, communication and business partnering skills as well as the ability to collaborate in a highly matrixes environment across multiple sectors and region
