Job Scope
Your Mission  
To provide service and support to customers with instrument maintenance, calibration, instrument troubleshooting and repair on capital equipment.    


Main Responsibilities
 Your Contributions   
  • Provide service & support to internal & external customers with regard to instrument maintenance, calibration, instrument troubleshooting and repair 
  • Install methodologies on the instrumentation at customer´s premises and guarantee customer follow-up for technical/application problems 
  • Make preliminary visits to laboratories to agree on positioning of the instrumentation 
  • Install & test the instruments at customer site according to the time limits and methods defined 
  • Participate in training processes that are designed to develop a highly skilled workforce capable of delivering results consistent with corporate goals and objectives 
  • Understand & utilize documentation protocols & accurately & legibly complete all documentation on time to result in a product/process history consistent with GMP requirements 
  • Perform & document calibration & preventative maintenance needed to result in equipment that is in good working condition, in accordance with corporate policies & in compliance with GMP 
  • Draw up reports of the equipment activity using SGAT software     


Education  
Associate’s Degree or Some College   


Experience
  • 3-5 years in a field directly related to the work
  • Previous experience in the IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) and/or highly regulated FDA environments and biotechnology industry    



Technical Competencies   
  • Knowledge and skill in preventative maintenance in installing, servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining medical diagnostic or clinical laboratory instrumentation 
  • Knowledge and understanding of electronics, medical terminology, chemistry, and physics 
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic immunology and immunoassay technology 
  • Ability to demonstrate and explain correct operation of equipment
