Job DescriptionThis is a field based role that will cover the western United States

The field excellence coach is responsible, in cooperation with the Regional Field Director, for the individual professional development of the MSL's and for the pull through of trainings performed by the global medical training department.
The coach will assume as primary mentor to new hires and will direct and deliver the field training plan. The field coach will use a strengths based coaching lens to identify and share best practices with MSL's in the field to further the performance of the team and the development of its individual. The field coach is responsible for understanding the collective skill level of the MSL organization through frequent field exposure. The field coach should been seen by the MSL team as a positive force for growth and development and as a partner in promoting field excellence. Field coaches will work collaboratively with Regional and National director(s) to develop long term outage plans in order to ensure appropriate proactive and reactive presence in all territories. .
Principle accountabilities will include:
-Develop and maintain MSL development plans.
-Develop and execute on new hire mentor plans.
-Develop and execute on long term coverage plans.
-Work with global training to maintain an accurate assessment of organizational skills and to pull through global medical trainings into the field.
-Support the global learning function by providing a national assessment of needs and through strategizing on plans for future learnings.

Qualifications7+years of field medical experience

Must be 18 years of age or older with Valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.

Must have authorization and ability to drive a Company leased vehicle or rental

This role is a field based position and the ideal candidate must be able to travel 60-70% of the time, including ability to travel overnight and occasionally on weekends.

He/she must demonstrate a solid Scientific, Business, and Compliance Knowledge and be able to manage projects on an ad hoc basis.

Strong team leadership, collaboration and management skills. A proven track record of field based medical excellence. Strong coaching experience or positive attitude and mentoring experience as an MSL. Experience and knowledge in the following areas are important: Field medical skills &competencies; field medical soft skills; medical business knowledge, field compliance knowledge, HEOR knowledge a strong preference.
EducationPh.D. in a biological science or related field, Pharm.D., Nurse Practitioner or MD
