Project Description

SHL (Scandinavian Health Ltd) is currently the world’s largest privately-owned designer, developer and manufacturer of advanced drug delivery systems such as Auto Injectors & Pen Injectors. SHL was established in 1989 by Swedish entrepreneurs Roger Samuelsson and Martin Jelf with the goal of combining world-class manufacturing in Asia with the strengths of Western Management practices.
We design, develop and manufacture advanced drug delivery devices such as auto injectors, pen injectors and inhalers. We also manufacture a range of other products including pressure mattress systems, patient lifting slings, medical soft goods, beds and offer design-to-build and contract manufacturing services for products such as laboratory handling equipment, neurosurgical devices, catheters and industrial equipment.

Responsibilities:
• Project Management and support of production ramp-up for new products
• Introduction and development of new production processes
• Process development for manufacturing of medical devices
• SME support of production planning and operations
• SME support of requirements engineering for new production facilities
• SME support of commissioning for new production equipment
• Analysis of production data for improvement and optimization of production processes
• Establish and drive continuous improvement projects in production

Job requirement:
• Dipl.-Ing. or BA/MA degree (TU/U/FH) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent
• Basic education (Apprenticeship) in manufacturing is an asset
• +2 years of work experience as Process or Manufacturing Engineer
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing technology and process development
• Proven experience in two or more of the following fields: high-volume production operation, assembly automation, process engineering, production planning, measurement and test system, machining, injection molding
• CAD proficiency (preferably SolidWorks)
• Previous exposure to highly regulated industries (medical, pharmaceutical) is an asset
• Previous exposure to Lean manufacturing and Six sigma principles is an asset
• Project Management experience is an asset
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)
• Basic knowledge of Mandarin is an asset
• Diligent, reliable and target oriented working attitude
• Ability to individually gather and develop additional knowhow as required
