JOB SUMMARY: Brief description of what this person does, in simple direct terms
Support Design Engineers with development efforts on KSI and Optronics products by assisting in the Verification, troubleshooting, and documentation of new and existing products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: List the essential duties and responsibilities of the position, in order of importance and/or amount of time spent.
Assist with Design Verification testing of KSI and Optronics products
Assist with troubleshooting and product performance studies on KSI and Optronics products
Assist with documentation efforts on assigned projects
Assist with test infrastructure development (automation, fixturing, etc.)
Assist with product releases
Regular attendance is an essential job function
Will spend part of his/her time as a member of continuous improvement teams undertaking projects and seeking ways to improve the quality of KSI’s products and services.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES: List other important functions that are secondary duties but may be time consuming.
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: What does a person in this position need to be able to do?
Software development skills - working toward College degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, junior level or greater preferred
Good written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of medical device quality system regulations and standards (eg, U.S. FDA Quality System Regulation 21CFR Part 820, ISO13485, ISO9001)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: What is the usual educational background and work experience of an individual qualified to perform this job?
1-2 years of experience with electronics and associated measurement equipment
2+ years of school toward a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (at an accredited college)
