PhD project in Management Accounting.
Management accounting information is crucial for the decision making in many companies and non-for-profit organizations. The Accounting department in KU Leuven is ranked among the best publishing departments in the field of management accounting and our PhD program is ranked among the top worldwide (cf. BYU Accounting Research Rankings). To reinforce our team we look for a PhD candidate with a strong affinity for quantitative research in the area of experimental research and/or archival-based research (using company data or survey data). Some of the core themes, we explore are the role of management accounting information and incentive design in intrafirm negotiations, the role of non-financial information in non-for-profitorganizations, and the impact of knowledge sharing, creativity and Corporate Social Responsibility in organizational settings.
You have a very strong interest in scientific research and statistics
You obtained a yearly result of at least distinction during your university studies.
You have a very good command of written and spoken English.
You have a Master's degree in Applied Economics, Business Economics, Business Engineering, or Business and Information Systems Engineering.
Master students / Research Master students in their last year and graduated MSc students are encouraged to apply.
We offer an employment as full-time PhD researcher for 1 year, renewable till 4 years after positive evaluation.
Start date October 1, 2017 or to be negotiated.
