Job Introduction

Leads Mundipharma Research statistical activities and strategies across all therapeutic areas, embedding best practice approaches and managing and mentoring a team of statisticians and statistical Programmers. Delivers comprehensive technical expertise and leadership to support strengthening and expanding a competitive portfolio of projects and technologies.

Main tasks

  • Develops and implements the statistical strategy for Clinical Development Plans and clinical trials, supports pricing and reimbursement activities and regulatory submissions as needed.
  • Supports business development activities, R&D partnering, and diligence process when statistical input is required
  • Represents Mundipharma Research in interactions (e.g. scientific advice meetings) with regulatory authorities internationally 
  • Ensures statistical accuracy, quality, and success of clinical trials, publications, posters through regular participation in Clinical Protocol Review Committee and scientific publications committee
  • Embeds best practice with statistical practices, processes and systems, through maintaining a current awareness of latest developments and industry benchmarking 
  •  Manages partnership with statistical service providers, optimising relationships, ensuring deliverables are timely and accurate, monitoring and acting on quality and performance KPIs 
  •  Contributes to strategic, organisational and operational discussions and decision making as a member of the Clinical R&D Leadership Team 
  • Establishes a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and continuous improvement by optimising organisational performance and behaviours 
  • Mentors and coaches employees within the function; through a focus on personal development and technical skills training builds a high quality, high achieving team

Key Competencies


Main requirements

  • Diploma or MSc in Biostatistics or Mathematics
  • Significant industry experience in leadership role as biostatistician in big pharma or biotech, developing statistical plans and leading their execution in a complex, cross-functional, matrix organization
  • Advanced understanding of the drug development process, statistical input into clinical development programs and study design, and lifecycle management
  • Experience with supporting scientific review of business development opportunities, scientific publications, pricing & reimbursement activities, regulatory activities
  • Strong leadership skills, and experience of leading and developing a team required
