Project Description

The Director, Facilities Management, Europe is responsible for managing all office facilities at EU Headquarters and other locations across Europe. In addition to providing and managing all on-site services. Will be project leader for new European headquarters facility in Switzerland. Duties and Responsibilities  Manage the European facilities budget;  Be responsible for establishing the capital expenditure related to offices;  Be responsible for preparing site selection strategy;  Supervise design, constructions work and/or renovation in any of the EU offices by verifying the construction costs, vendor selection, design of space, amenities and furniture;  Manage on-site services including: reception, security, mail, maintenance, cleaning, handyman, conference room setting up, catering, vending, document management, archiving, etc.;  Encourage and develop new ideas and initiatives with all suppliers with the objective of enhancing service levels and improving cost efficiency;  Act as liaison with landlord/real estate agencies to ensure that work orders for building maintenance are fulfilled in line with local rules;  Manage space planning and space re-configuration according to headcount evolution and supervise the internal moves accordingly;  Design and implement office policies and procedures based upon HR guidance and according to local laws and legislations;  Manage the car fleet and its related vendor as well as the parking policy;  Manage the Swiss mobility plan;  Develop and sustain clear policies and procedures within Security, Fire Life & Safety to ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, Fire Regulations and other statutes relating to the occupancy of the premises;  Be responsible for the global security of the company?s property that includes the training on a regular basis of the staff, the sharing of information on security matters and the checking that security precautions are correctly applied;  Contribute positively to a strong culture of business integrity and ethics  Act within compliance and legal requirements as well as within company guidelines    Requirements  At least 10 years of relevant experience in facilities management with the direct responsibility for services and standards and budgets preferably for a pharmaceutical/biopharma company.  Previous solid construction experience  Bachelor degree in related field  Experience in managing site services such as reception, security, mail, shipping & receiving, food vendors, and maintenance  Experienced in project management  The ability to diplomatically work with employees as well as vendors  Focus on delivering excellent customer service
