The Therapeutic Delivery Initiative (TDI) at Amgen is pushing the boundaries of integrated health technology products and FDA/EMA-approvable technology across device, digital, diagnostic and formulation. TDI brings new capability into the world s largest biotechnology company by the use of the most contemporary innovation and development platforms and tools. Amgen is searching for a Director, Digital Marketing  Health Programs. This position will be primarily accountable for leading a team dedicated to understanding and capitalizing on digital-driven change in how brands are evaluated and healthcare decisions are made. They will ensure digital initiatives are linked to the broader business and healthcare improvement strategies. They will position Amgen to nimbly evolve as disruptors impact legacy business models and advance the technological capabilities that can support Amgen regions in optimizing marketing spend and collaborating in improving healthcare. They will annually prototype and pilot emerging technologies from other industries for transition to Amgen regions that personalize marketing, support patient access, provide physician decision support and build digital engagement. They will ensure appropriate privacy, regulatory, communications and compliance procedures are in place. They will also be accountable for developing a global support network for local/regional marketing/IS/tech hub stakeholders.Primary responsibilities of the Director, Digital Marketing  Health Programs include:Identify and pilot new capabilities in digital marketing for transfer to Regional Business Organizations and Tech Hubs; explore new business models that digitize customer interactionsDevelop strong understanding and prototype Amgen application of new data streams, complex ontologies, hierarchies and time-frames that are being applied to analysis of medication outcomes by payors, hospitals, employers and governmentDevelop baseline customer net promotor scores and forecast improvement impact of Digital Health ProgramsBaseline uptake and persistence statistics on various health technologies (i.e. apps, EHR tools, micro-targeting)Identify, prototype and pilot technologies to streamline data integration and preparation from a wide range of sources  claims; molecular and laboratory; electronic medical records (EMR); patient registries; consumer demographic and behavioral; imaging and natural language; and emerging, novel, real-world data, such as from wearable devicesExplore uses of social media and its role in shaping perceptions as well as a source of important customer data and perceptionAlign key stakeholders, facilitate consensus, and manage cross-functional teams to ensure that assessment / implementation activities (e.g., conceptual modeling, co-creation workshop, human factor studies, prototyping) are executed efficiently and successfullyServe as the upfront TDI point-of-contact for the rest of the organization to generate ideas and support problem identification. This can include:Run design thinking workshopsManage any additional work needed to refine solution hypotheses before they are ready for preliminary assessmentManage communication with PTs throughout Stage 1 of the TDI processMaintain and facilitate productive and collaborative internal relationships with the patient centricity group, customer experience group, patient and provider advocacy teamsResponsible for the selection of technologies to prototype and pilot each year; responsible for MVP determination, design, product roadmap, product scopeWil advise on design research and resource allocationWill advise in the development of sprint plans and scrum ceremoniesWill provide quarterly reports on digital-driven change in how brands are evaluated and healthcare decisions are made by customers (patient, physician, payer, employer)Ensure digital initiatives are incorporated in the broader region and brand strategies3-5 annual prototypes/pilots of emerging technologies for transition to Amgen regionsBasic QualificationsDoctorate degree and 4 years of experience in Software or Consumer Product MarketingORMaster s degree and 7 years of experience in Software or Consumer Product MarketingORBachelor s degree and 9 years of experience in Software or Consumer Product MarketingPreferred Qualifications3+ years experience in pharmaceutical marketingExperience in technology business development and external collaboration termsRegulatory Device, Privacy and Design Control experienceSoftware development in the healthcare sectorExperience in leading release of products in an iterative fashionProven experience in defining vision, strategy and implementation of digital marketing solutions that will improve the consumer experienceAbility to manage digital and mobile initiatives to promote consumer migrationBroad knowledge of user experience principles and digital channel best practicesExperience managing entire product lifecycle - from strategic planning to tactical implementationProduct planning strategy experienceMust have deep understanding of the product, business and competitive landscape
