Manage Merck’s business relationships with targeted jumbo/large self-insured employers, business coalitions, benefit consultants and other relevant stakeholders in the Western United States.
Influence and shape the structure of health benefits to produce the broadest coverage and access to Merck medicines and vaccines.
Engage employer segment customers to support the appropriate use of Merck medicines and vaccines to achieve the desired employee, employer and population health outcomes while supporting Merck's US business goals.
Provide and exchange information on workforce health topics that demonstrate the value of employer-provided health benefits
Problem-solve as appropriate on employer & employee health and health care issues
Provide Merck approved programs, resources, ideas and tools to support workforce health management initiatives
- BS/BA degree required
- Healthcare major and/or advanced science, public health degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales, marketing, managed markets or applicable industry experience.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, project management, oral and written communications, relationship building / account management, collaboration, problem solving, negotiation, and knowledge (breadth and depth) of Merck’s entire product line of pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and specialty drugs or relevant industry experience .
- Candidates should be self-motivated and able to function with minimal direct supervision.
