Job Purpose:
This role will be responsible for developing and planning a Master Production Schedule (MPS) ensuring each Contract Manufacturer can meet changing customer requirements. The CM Supply Manager will effectively plan and execute inventory replenishment and drive the resolution of any constraints which includes typically material availability, work centers, QC, warehouse and shipping.

Prepare and lead multifunctional Joint Process Teams (JPT) to build and develop relationships with key stakeholders. Lead and/or represent the JPT on key supply chain and other improvement projects that deliver business plan commitments and optimize operations.

Close working relationships are required with SC Toll Manufacturing associates, Customer Service associates and Contract Manufacturers to manage complex supply chains.

The role is required to understand the planning and replenishment processes and associated IT systems, e.g. SAP R/3 and SAP/APO but is not limited to those.

Job Content
  1. Set up and maintain a 24 month Master Production Schedule for products supplied by assigned Contract Manufacturers within a strict timetable. Discuss with JPT prior to the CM communication. Present the MPS at the EEM EMEA S&OP meeting for approval ensuring any capacity constraints preventing the MPS from being achieved are highlighted appropriately. Attend and participate in Global and Hub S&OP processes where applicable.
  2. Represent the EEM-EMEA hub and the CM Sites by attendance at regular alignment with Customer Service and develop improvement plans to meet valid customer requirements. Build strong external relationships with Customer Service. As appropriate participate in S&OP’s and Business/profit plan meetings.
  3. Convert Purchase Requisitions to purchase orders for assigned range of products and reconciles Toll Manufacturing materials after manufacturing. Ensures availability of defined materials to facilitate production, e.g. active ingredients and/or bulk material on time.
  4. Develop and improve oversight with CMs, by leading and operating multifunctional JPTs. Present key data and work with partners to drive continuous improvement activities
  5. Propose, lead and/or contribute to key supply chain and improvement projects that deliver business plan commitments. This will include Global, hub and team projects.
  6. Anticipate and drive resolution of capacity constraints. Ensure any major capacity issues are escalated appropriately.
  7. Run ‘What If’ scenarios when required to ensure the Master Schedule is optimized from both a supply chain and manufacturing perspective. The role will be key in determining the most profitable way to produce products by assessing impacts of reduce lead-times, cycle times, alternative raw materials or equipment.
  8. Inventory Management: Responsible for ensuring the following activities take place:
    - Inventory targets are generated and reviewed regularly.
    - Conduct reconciliations and cycle counts (including resolution of discrepancies) are conducted within agreed schedules.
    - Provisions, losses, variance and inventory reports are reviewed and appropriate actions taken.
    - Destruction process implemented in a timely manner.
  9. Ownership for OSSCE performance, aim is Class A, for assigned products and drive improvements. Use metrics to influence Contract Manufacturers and ensure appropriate actions are raised and implemented. Continuously challenge MRP parameters. Play an active role in both EEM and Global Supply Chain initiatives. This will involve Implementation of Product line extensions (i.e. different pack sizes or labels to an item already supplied to the market). This involves coordination across the total value chain from affiliate, through regulatory, through packaging and manufacturing to ensure products meet required launch dates.
  10. Supervises and coordinates changes (artworks or new packaging components or others) and influences internal processes to ensure timely implementation.
  11. Actively involved in Make or Buy decisions (insourcing / outsourcing) leveraging costs, capacity and service level.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Technical, Engineering or Business discipline.

Language skills:
English fluent in speaking and writing. Other languages desirable, German preferred.

Working Experience:
* 5+ years’ experience in a Supply Chain Role: eg. Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Supply Chain Excellence, etc.
* Analytical experience in a large scale Supply Chain Industry
* GMP environment /Pharmaceutical Production & Packaging experience desired.
* Ability to balance various interests and competing objectives between Supply, Finance, Quality, Commercial and TS/MS.
* High focus on supply performance and Quality of work.
* Demonstrated ability to challenge and change status quo.
* Planning experience using SAP R/3 and preferably SAP APO.
* Strong communication and change management skills.
Highly Desirable:
Masters in Supply Chain Management and/or MBA.
