Consultant - Technical Trainer-Animal Care Expansion (ACE)

The Technical veterinary trainer will be responsible for providing support and training on Elanco brands and disease states for both the internal team and external partners in the North American business.
Business Unit Overview: Elanco is establishing a new Business Unit to expand the access to and availability of Elanco's innovative Animal medicine and wellness products worldwide. Our products are, and will be, distributed in multiple channels.
Provide training and education to retail partners & 3rdparty contractors on disease states and the Elanco portfolio
Assist with and support all pertinent training programs for all new Animal Care Expansion (ACE) employees
Represent Elanco at tradeshows and customer events
Support the continued education of the commercial team on disease states and Elanco products
Assist in the preparation of training materials for internal and external audiences
Assist in the development and approval of promotional material
Project an attitude of exceptional customer service in all aspects of job execution
Support the efforts of Sales and Marketing, as required, through travel with representatives and participation in cross-functional team meetings and customer meetings, as assigned
Provide technical support for all products via telephone, direct interaction and through presentations to veterinary, retailer and/or pet owner audiences
Cultivate and nurture strong working relationships with retail partners
Licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the United States.
5 years experience as a practicing veterinarian in companion animal or mixed animal practice (companion animal focus) although consideration may also be given for experience in comparable industry role. The practice experience may be in private, corporate, and/or academic environments.
