Primary Responsibilities 
Provide overall support of supply chain applications and finished clinical trial supplies by:  
  • Providing front end administrative support of multiple supply chain specific applications  
  • Identifying system errors/bugs 
  • Submitting artifacts to address issues/bugs  
  • Executing supply chain application maintenance including but not limited to  
  • Running standard SQL queries to output defined data sets 
  • Merging and reviewing multiple data sets to identify deltas 
  • Reviewing data set contents and applying updates to source supply chain applications  
  • Supporting application system releases  
  • Executing scripts and documenting results 
  • Production qualification  
  • Messaging/interface troubleshooting  
  • Reviewing message/file exchange between applications 
  • Compiling volume of error messages into a weekly summary using excel tables, pivots and formulas 
  • Identifying root cause of error messages and quality issue trends  
  • Creation and Maintenance of Supply Chain Reports  
  • Leveraging SQL, Business Objects and Excel to access and analyze data from multiple proprietary and COTS supply chain applications 
  • Ad Hoc SQL query support 
  • Development of standard reports representing the core Tables/Joins of target screens of the application front end 
  • Extensive QC of SQL query logic and dataset output 
  • Sampling of dataset output to identify any data gaps or quality issues 
  • Processing of multiple files in excel using macros and advanced formulas  
  • Audit Support  
  • Verifying production scenarios represented by client's request 
  • Confirming/clarifying data scenario and report filtering/output 
  • Determining source Tables/Joins used to pull core data 
  • Documenting SQL query logic and report output in preparation for QC 
  • Addressing QC findings/issues as needed (updating SQL logic/output) 
  • Providing customer with finalized report 
  • Creating audit response documentation as part of Quality Investigations 
  • Proposing and implementing corrective actions as part of audit findings in Quality Investigations  
  • Project Leadership  
  • Participating on project teams 
  • Leading small groups of resources 
  • Assembling business requirements and representing business needs 
  • Representing team in project specific meetings 
  • Facilitating goal setting and prioritization of work  
  • Providing direct customer support for client sponsors and supply chain consumers  
  • Interfacing with internal/external customers, IT staff and vendors  
  • Addressing account maintenance requests using a ticketing system that assigns the initial request and tracks status through task completion 
  • Tracking/documenting time and tasks for metrics (dates, resource effort) 
  • Participating in SOP and Job Aid development based on client's requests  



Working conditions: 
  • Travel: 0-25% 
  • Lifting: 0-25lbs 
  • Other: Computer work for long periods of time  

   

Required Skills 
Education:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field required

Required Experience 
  • SQL and Business Objects 
  • Excel processing using macros/advanced formulas 
  • years SharePoint knowledge and general maintenance 
  • Strong computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Able to apply procedures across an extensive range of scenarios which will require strong problem solving and investigation skills 
  • Detailed understanding of the Pharmaceutical environment, especially as pertaining to Clinical Study management and related processes preferred 
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to Clinical Study operations (including GCP, GMP, and GDP) preferred
