Description of the PositionThe CRM will lead a small Clinical Research Team (CRT) and will have responsibility for planning and executing trials.
He/she will develop budgets, time lines as well as quality guidelines for the projects and must possess a solid working knowledge of all applicable ICH/GCP regulations.
To develop with the CMR Head a local research strategy and to provide input into site selection and allocation of studies
To lead and manage the CRT including study planning, resource planning & allocation, people management, including selection of new staff and training
To manage, motivate and develop all members of the CRT and to develop working standards of the highest class
To improve processes: speed, quality and productivity in the area of clinical development
To cooperate and communicate on study-related issues like resource planning and time lines with internal and external stakeholders (HQ)
To work according to national law and to follow policies and guidelines ensuring high business and ethical standard
To maintain the image of the company as a specialized company par excellence among external stakeholders by developing close relationships with the medical community and other stakeholders within the therapeutic areas.
Demands of the Position A relevant life science degree, BSc, MSc or PhD
Minimum Five to eight years’ experience in the area of clinical research including monitoring from the pharmaceutical/CRO industry
Some year’s people management/ team leader experience
Up-to-date on study management and excellent understanding of the ICH/GCP and local regulators specially regarding contracting and payment
Some project management experience is desired
Proactive and team orientated, able to make decisions
Managerial, leadership and interpersonal skills together with excellent abilities in communication and negotiations
An empathetic and diplomatic personality with attention to details
Comprehensive computer skills (MS-Office, spreadsheets, databases)
Tri-lingual (Dutch, French and English)
Ability to travel within Belgium/Luxemburg and occasionally within Europe.
