 Description:
For our IT department, we are seeking a talented, energetic and self-driven Business Intelligence Engineer to help us develop actionable recommendations from mountains of data.

 

Your responsibilities: 
  • Maintain and further develop the data warehouse (DWH) 
  • Help on the development of a flexible reporting section in ClinLife system 
  • Transfer pilot reports into newly created reporting section 
  • Proactively evaluate the further development of our system with regard to the impact on the existing Data Warehouse structure 
  • Help on the development of a flexible reporting section in system 
  • Extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) for Data Warehouse 
  • Data integration 


Work on: 
  • Gathering and analyzing end users reporting requirements 
  • Delivering input for the design of the pilot reports 
  • Delivering the aggregated tables for the reports  
  • Troubleshoot data issues and build customized reports to investigate key business questions 
  • Write, share and present documents summarizing your findings and recommendations effectively, to individuals at various levels in the organization 
  • Explore available technologies and design custom solutions to improve our data quality, our data analytics infrastructure, workflow and reporting capability 
 

We would prefer you to have:  
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree, preferably in an analytical field - e.g. Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Finance 
  • 5+ years of experience in the job offered or related occupations of Data Warehouse Manager, Data Engineer or another related occupation 
  • Experience in using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets (SQL, ETL, Data Darehouse, etc.) 
  • Experience with Data modeling, ETL-Tools, Visualization Software 
  • Experience with DBMS (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) 
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and quantitative reasoning skills 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Practical approach and good organization 
  • Independency and self-management skills 
  • An eye for details, accurate and rigorous working style 
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English, German is a plus
