Project Description


This position supports the development and delivery of business intelligence and analytic services across Incyte’s Commercial and Medical departments for use in decision-making by business stakeholders. This role supports key business projects and initiatives as well as provides operational support for Business Information Services systems. As part of the Business Unit Information Services (BIS) team, this position offers a unique opportunity to experience broad exposure within the US Business Unit and to participate in the implementation of solutions that enable Commercial Operations, Field Sales Personnel, Medical Affairs, and other consumers across the organization to effectively execute their daily business.

 The successful candidate will be flexible and eager to embrace a continuous, aggressive learning curve, and must be self-motivated. The candidate must be capable of supporting multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline-oriented, and cross-functionally collaborative environment. Additionally, a customer-service orientation with strong oral and written communication skills are keys for success.

Summary of the Essential Functions of the Job 

  • Support BIS systems, applications, and data relating to CRM, Master Data Management (MDM), and Data Warehousing and Reporting
  •  Daily support and maintenance of Incyte’s Master Data Management system in the form of stewardship and resolutions relating to Health Care Professionals and Health Care Organizations
  • involvement in dashboard development and support
  •  Support Sales Operations in data preparation, analytic tasks, and specified projects
  •  With direction, play an active role in documenting, designing, building, and testing data integration points and data service offerings in support of key customers
  •  Manage and maintain source files, data sources, and internal and external data exchanges in support of the US Business Unit
  •  Support Commercial Sales and Marketing, Medical Affairs, Compliance, and liaise with IT as projects or requirements dictate
  •  Support business initiatives by focusing on integration, delivery, and reporting of business information. Participate in the creation of business information products produced out of the MDM and Data Warehousing systems

 Minimum Requirement

  • Work with business stakeholders and BIS subject matter experts to identify business information requirements and the expected needs

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to integrate, develop, and maintain data offerings and services to the business

  • Create documentation relating to data, processes, and systems

  • Ability to work with stakeholders to extract, articulate, and document data requirements

  • Strong sense of customer service; ability to interact with employees spanning all levels of the organization Data and Analysis

  • Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and data models

  • Exposure to data visualization concepts required and Business Intelligence tools such as QlikView or Tableau preferred

  • Perform data analysis using basic statistical methods; ability to use descriptive statistics to drive effective communication of ideas with business users

  • Ability to learn and support Incyte’s Master Data Management systems and processes on a daily basis

  • Strong skills using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Work with Business Unit Information Services subject matter experts to Implement and maintain data quality standards

  • Collaborate with the Business Unit Information Services subject matter experts and business owners to ensure that information used follows the established compliance, access management, and control policies

 Communications and Training

  •  Ability to present and discuss processes and analyses relating to data in easy to understand terms
  •  Communicate and work with business subject matter experts and organizational leadership
  •  Express technical and business concepts, ideas, opinions, and develop conclusions both orally and in writing
  •  Train new users, both field-based and internal, on BIS application systems and related enhancements
  •  Implement enhancements and fixes to systems with direction
  •  Independently troubleshoot system and/or data issues as needed
  •  Ability to escalate issues appropriately


  •   Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Intelligence/Data Science, or related field
  • 1-3 years experience with reporting systems, MDM, or sales operations preferred
