Project Description

The Business Analysis and Information (BAI) Senior Manager will lead BAI activities in support of pipeline assets and/or life cycle management for in-line products in Global Marketing. This critical role reports to the Director of Global BAI. Job Responsibilities Include:Independently plan, design, and conduct complex, global market research and analytics projects in support of pipeline assets and/or life cycle management for in-line productsTurn unstructured business issues/requests into appropriate action plans and projects that result in high quality, meaningful and actionable deliverablesSupport business development initiativesManage relationships with external vendors and consultants to enable effective and efficient project executionDevelop strong relationships with Global Marketing commercial leadership to define BAI objectives, budgets and work plans for key commercialization activitiesSynthesize and integrate various data, research, and analyses to generate impactful and actionable insightsPrioritize research resources to support critical business issues and decisionsPartner with and influence Global Marketing commercial leadership so they understand and implement key customer and market insightsProvide an objective and rigorous point of view to inform the commercialization process, while collaborating with other disciplines, e.g., forecasting, finance, competitive intelligence, payer, etc.Drive strategic and innovative approaches to solve key business problemsProvide analyses, summary of results, and implications/recommendations when communicating to key stakeholder groups20% international & domestic travelBasic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 2 years of analytics experienceORMaster s degree and 4 years of analytics experienceORBachelor s degree and 6 years of analytics experienceORAssociate s degree and 10 years of analytics experienceORHigh school diploma / GED and 12 years of analytics experiencePreferred Qualifications:Global market research experienceConsulting experienceDemonstrated ability to think strategically to support key business decisionsDemonstrated analytical skills understands the advantages and limits of different analytical approaches and studies and their findingsDemonstrated ability to influence senior marketing executivesDeep understanding of marketing and business commercialization processesExcellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiencesAbility to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a team-based environmentBroad, working knowledge of commonly used biopharmaceutical industry databasesProficient facilitation, negotiation, problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsHJUS2016Amgen is an Equal Opportunity employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
