Biostatistician in Global Market Access Psoriasis and Actinic Keratosis

The Global biostatistician team has its functional home in Global Market Access Psoriasis and Actinic Keratosis (PSO & AK) team, but operate globally and support all key LEO Products.

As a statistician in Global Market Access (PSO & AK), you will get a role of high strategic importance to LEO Pharma, and work across several Business Units and stakeholders mainly on Phase 3 data, Phase 4 data from both trials and external databases.

It will provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate the added value with LEO Pharma´s solutions to patients suffering from skin diseases and put dermatology on the payer´s agenda by generating evidence ideally for scientific publications at international conferences.

Your key areas of responsibility will be: 

  • Statistical analysis of data from randomized clinical trials (RCTs), prospective and retrospective observational studies, surveys focusing on patient reported outcomes and health economic data
  • Responsible for publications (part of publication team) regarding statistical methodology and issues
  • Input to Statistical Analysis Plans and Clinical Study Reports in close collaboration with biostatisticians in Biostatistics Department
  • Ad hoc statistical sub-group analyses to support affiliate pricing and reimbursement negotiations
  • Provide expert statistical guidance and conduct meta-analysis and indirect treatment comparisons using network meta-analysis
  • Support building health economic decision models by evidence for reimbursement applications 

Qualifications and experience

Our new statistician needs to have strong analytical skills, a creative mind-set and able to multitask with several projects at the same time. We expect you to have: 

  • A MSc or PhD in statistics. Formal training in health economics or epidemiology is an advantage but not a requirement
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in the pharmaceutical industry or related consultancy services
  • A track record of contribution to peer-reviewed scientific publications from pharmaceutical, biotechnology or public health industry, or academia
  • Experience of working with quality of life and patient reported outcome data and/or causal inference in observational research
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams, including good communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken
  • Experience in programming and working with SAS, R or similar statistical software

The position is reporting to Paw Trebbien, Director of Global Pricing and Global Market Access PSO & AK, but on a daily basis your main interaction and business lead will be with our Senior Biostatistician.
