Responsibilities Lilly is looking for an associate level scientist with experience in laboratory based molecular and/or cellular immunological methods to support Immunology Translational Sciences. The primary focus will be in the area of autoimmune but you may have the opportunity to work on other immune diseases like allergy. Our mission is to identify mechanism-relevant pharmacodynamic biomarkers for assets in Lilly s Immunology pipeline and develop drug tailoring hypotheses that can be assessed in clinical trials. The identification of translational biomarker strategies will utilize samples from human-derived sources. The position offers an extraordinary opportunity to impact the tailoring of Lilly s autoimmune disease therapies to the most suitable patients based on novel biomarkers. We are looking for individuals who have experience in various bioanalytical techniques (e.g. multiplex cytokine assays, assay development, etc.), human cell manipulation and culture, molecular techniques such as qPCR. We need individuals who can work independently as well as be a motivated team player with the ability to work well with cross-functional colleagues supporting the Lilly immunology portfolio.Some of your responsibilities will include: Provide expertise in bioanalytical techniques; including immunological assays (e.g., multiplex bead-based ELISAs, ultra-sensitive ELISA systems (e.g., MSD, Quanterix), in vitro functional assays with primary human cells, PCR and biochemical techniques (western blotting, protein phosphorylation)Procuring and processing various human tissue samples for analysisDevelop novel assays and explore novel technology platformsWork with project teams and cross-functional partners to identify and validate human translatable biomarkers, especially related to pharmacodynamic response and generation of tailoring hypothesis to be tested in clinical trials in autoimmune diseasesRecord, analyze and communicate scientific data to supervisor/manager and project teams with clear interpretation of results and proposed next steps Maintain high laboratory standards with regard to quality, safety and general laboratory housekeeping Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to critically interpret data. 33974BR Basic Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Immunology/Cell Biology (or related life sciences discipline) with relevant research or laboratory experienceQualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
