We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated scientist for the Immunology Group within the Biotechnology Discovery Research (BioTDR) Division. You will have the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary organization, interacting with colleagues within the Immunology Group to explore small molecule and bioproduct therapeutic opportunities for autoimmunity and chronic inflammation. This will include the identification and in vivo validation of new drug targets as well as participation in ongoing research projects, with the primary focus being to develop preclinical animal models to provide in vivo data to support pre-clinical screening, design and mechanism of action studies of candidate therapeutic molecules.   • Developing and executing primary cell immunoassays
  • Establishing cell-based assays for drug screening
  • Design and implementation of autoimmune animal studies
  • Mentor and train junior staff members

  • Bachelor's degree in Immunology/ Biology/Biochemistry or related field with at least 4 years of work experience or
  • Master's degree in Immunology/ Biology/Biochemistry or related field with at least 2 years of work experience
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
  • Prior research experience in molecular and immunological techniques such as cell isolation, immunophenotyping, immune cell functional assays, ELISA/Luminex/MSD, mammalian cell tissue culture, western blots/Phosflow, flow cytometry and/or RT-qPCR
  • Experience with in vitro and in vivo model systems to evaluate immune cell function is preferred
  • Pharma/industry experience
  • Designs analyses and interprets own experiments with input from project or technical teams.
  • Works well in diverse team environment
  • Complies with all applicable regulations; Ensures that work performed in area of responsibility is conducted in a safe and compliant manner; Maintains proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies.
