Objecitive for the position:
Establishing a state of the art microbiological laboratory

Describe area of responsibility and authority:
To be responsible for the daily work related to the functions and routines of the laboratory.


 Main tasks for the position:
  • Establish and ensure that a functional microbiological laboratory is operational.
  • Establish standard operational procedures (SOP) for all procedures conducted in the laboratory.
  • Maintaining inventory control of microbiological samples in our possession.
  • Be responsible for coordination and logistics related to sending and receiving of goods/samples.
  • Preparation of different media for growth of microorganisms.
  • Conduct standard microbiological analytical tests in order to be able to identify microbiological characteristics (phenotype & genotype).
  • Ensuring that good HMS routines are maintained in the laboratory and that the laboratory is operating in compliance with national/local regulations.

  • Biological engineer or Master of science (preferably within microbiology)

  • Experience in microbiological laboratory work and procedures.
  • Experience in standard phenotypical characterization techniques of bacteria.
