Job Description
  • Our company has an exciting opportunity for an Automation Coordinator to join our company. 
  • As the Automation Coordinator, you will work with the Production Automation Supervisor to maintain the local production control network, programming standards, and propose new equipment for the location. 
  • You will be challenged with duties and responsibilities that will evolve throughout the year.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
  • Maintain integrity of automation server and processors 
  • Understand the strategy for the control network operating production locations and is accountable for the implementation of the strategy at the local level 
  • Lead and foster the safety culture with team members, and drive maintenance and reliability of the control network
  • Develop a strategy for automation support for the locations which includes training of operators
  • Assist in the development, installation, inspection and maintenance of new or enhanced mechanical and/or electrical equipment
  • Preventative maintenance conducted on field or facility equipment/machinery or vehicles.
  • Estimate labor and equipment costs, maintain appropriate maintenance, inventory and repair logs
  • May lead others in maintenance or oversee certain program, processes or projects
  • Responsible for supporting electrical system 

Job Qualifications
The following are required:
  • Two-year technical /vocational degree or equivalent training
  • Three to five (3-5) years of combined on-the-job automation experience 
  • Electrical background
  • Experience with the following: FTV Studio, RSLinx Classic, RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, RSNetWork (Controlnet), FT AssetCentre, or FT Activation Manager
  • Experience with Control Logics
  • Willing and able to work in a variety of areas (plant, warehouse)
  • Willing and able to climb and/or work in elevated areas; standing and sitting for extended periods
  • Willing and able to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet and dry conditions
  • Willing and able to lift up to 60 lbs. and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime hours including weekend work required during seasonal peaks
  • Problem solving skills, conflict resolution skills, and teamwork skills
  • Good  verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills

The following are preferred:
  • Experience with Allen Bradley Hardware
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Ability to read blue prints
  • Ability to obtain professional certifications
  • Training/coaching skills
  • Project management skills
