|Job Description||Biogen is seeking an outstanding associate scientist to join the Stem Cell Biology Lab to assist in developing human stem cell based models for drug discovery. The lab actively partners with the neurology and neuro-inflammation therapeutic area leaders for exploratory research, target discovery, biomarker discovery and modeling of disease using human iPSC derived cells. |
• Responsible for performing experiments in support of project and company drug discovery and development goals.
• Work with supervisor to design, execute and troubleshoot experiments and to analyze and interpret results.
• Document and communicate experimental results clearly and concisely
• Provide regular updates, documentation and communication of project results.
• Due to the demands of maintaining healthy human pluripotent stem cell cultures, weekend work will be required.

|Qualifications||The ideal candidate should have more than 2 years of hands on experience propagating human pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs/hESCs) and differentiating them into neuronal lineages. Expertise in molecular and cellular biology techniques, including q-PCR, in-situ hybridization, confocal microscopy, and high content imaging are a plus. A strong background in neurobiology and molecular biology is also highly desired.|
