Project Description

Amgen Genome Analysis Unit is seeking an enthusiastic cell biologist to join our target discovery group at our research facility in South San Francisco. The candidate will join an energetic research team responsible for the design and execution of research projects and the production of high quality data. Responsibilities of this position include producing and maintaining human iPSC derived cell lines, carrying out characterization studies as well as analyzing and communicating results to the research team and department.

Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree and 2 years of Scientific experience
OR Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of scientific experience

Preferred Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be self-motivated and be able to work independently and as part of cross-disciplinary teams
Familiarity with iPSC and/or cardiomyocyte biology
Experience in mammalian tissue culture, immunocytochemistry, and cellular imaging techniques, including fluorescence microscopy
Computer programming skills
High attention to detail; excellent organizational skills
Strong written and oral communication skills in English
