Associate Global Marketing Manager, Baking, Europe

We are looking for a driven, independent and ambitious Associate Global Marketing Manager to join the Baking Department of the Global Marketing Team in Food & Beverages. If you are interested in contributing directly to one of Novozymes' largest industry areas both strategically and operationally, and if you are looking to develop and demonstrate a varied set of commercial and business development skills, this is the right role for you.

You will support the day to day activities in Baking, a challenging and evolving industry, working hands on with executing on key initiatives; marketing tactics and campaigns; global channel and partner strategies and activities; competitive strategies and activities; pricing; market understanding and much more. You will lead specific regional growth initiatives, ensure that operational excellence is delivered in partnership with the regions and ensure that a broad range of analyses and reporting are completed in a timely manner.

The position is thus an excellent opportunity to strengthen your strategic and analytical skills as well as build applied commercial skills, working directly with our regions and numerous functions at Novozymes. The job will be based out of Turkey (Istanbul) or Switzerland (Dittingen) on local employment terms. You will be reporting to the Global Marketing Manager, Baking.

Regional and global travel up to about 30% should be expected.

In this position you need:
  • An advanced commercial degree (international business administration, international marketing, strategy, economics or similar)
  • Experience from relevant commercial role(s) in e.g. marketing, management consulting, sales and/or business development (3-5 years). If you have experience from the Baking/Food industry and emerging markets experience it would be considered a plus
  • Excellent business development, commercial and analytical skills
  • Strong business understanding and good commercial acumen and pricing experience as you will be directly involved in significant business decisions with our regions and customers
  • To feel comfortable wearing many ‘hats’ – your role will demand flexibility and an entrepreneurial approach
  • Be execution-oriented - gets things done, strong time management and prioritisation skills and at the same time be a solid project manager and team player
  • Excellent English communication skills, including an ability to engage with commercial and technical people alike, and communicate things in a simple and understandable manner
  • The ability to navigate a complex and at times ambiguous environment within the challenging baking industry
