  • Project team member for the Global Lease implementation project
    • Act as the primary contact for the GBS-Indianapolis Capital Asset Accounting group on the project
  • Evaluate and assist in implementing the proposed automation solutions, Lease accounting software
    • Perform the system testing and implementation activities in coordination with IT
  • Serve as the resource for the appropriate accounting of multiple sites’ capital projects
    • Provide capital versus expense guidance for project activities
    • Provide training and financial policy determinations to capital project managers, local finance and other stakeholders
  • Create fixed asset records in the SAP Fixed Asset Module
    • Work with Project Managers on the completion of the Project Capitalization Form
    • Monitor assigned capital projects for completion date and status updates
    • Manual Journal Voucher Preparation/Quality Reviews and Approval:
      • Ability to identify and prepare a journal voucher when needed
      • Understands appropriate supporting documentation required for manual journal vouchers
      • Assess if journal voucher accounting and documentation submitted for entry is appropriate
    • Review and Approval of select account reconciliations
    • Build Strong Working Relationships with:
      • The sites supported by the GBS
      • Project managers and area contacts for multiple PMs for assigned projects
      • Other GBS functions: GA, P2P, O2C, etc.
    • Other potential responsibilities:
      • Presentation and/or creation of training materials as deemed appropriate
      • Execute system testing (e.g. FIT)
      • Audit participation, as necessary (SOx, Local Statutory, and 10K)
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting

  • 3+ years accounting experience preferred
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledgeable of:
    • SAP detailed transactions as required for job
    • SAP financial master data and data flow
  • Understanding of Capital Asset accounting (PP&E & Sundry)
  • Self-starter, high learning agility
  • Ability to independently identify process improvements
